DIOR: No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani wasn’t the only one donning Dior at her Saturday London nuptials to fellow rocker Gavin Rossdale of Bush. He slipped into a slim Hedi Slimane morning suit, and the bridesmaids — six, according to a source —glided down the aisle in a froth of pink chiffon by John Galliano for Dior. But the designer, a long-time pal of Stefani and a guest at the ceremony at St. Paul’s Church in Covent Garden, had his poster girl for the new Christian Dior Marriage collection in the bride — who wore a pink and white corseted gown of a design he exclusively created for her. Stefani caught the launch in July while in Paris for one of her last fittings. And while she’s set to embark on her own clothing line, she’s not about to compare herself to her fellow fashion maverick. "I’m not going to call myself a designer. I’m not a genius like Galliano," she told WWD last month. She also decided to leave another aspect of the event to another long-time pal and collaborator, video director Sophie Muiller. "We’ve done like 10 videos together and stayed friends," Stefani said. "Sophie’s got such vision, she’s art directing the church stuff." No word yet on whether the Dior duds will have an encore presentation at a Sept. 28 ceremony in Los Angeles, but friends are already itching for a closer look.

BREAKFAST IN BED: You might be surprised who’s been shopping on QVC lately. Despite its Diamonique rep, the network drew a number of well-turned out ladies — it was hard to tell who was wearing the real thing — to a breakfast party at the Rainbow Room Tuesday morning to launch Dennis Basso’s collection of fake fur home furnishings. It turned out the crowd — QVC’s Darlene Daggett, Natalie Leeds, Marjorie Gubelmann, Lucile Roberts, Michele Herbert, Catherine Saxton and Denise Rich — was as diverse as the collection —?imagine if Liberace had shared a bed with Laura Ashley. But the ladies loved it.
