GIVING HER THE SLIP: When New York Post columnist Cindy Adams took a swipe at a dress worn by Naomi Campbell last week at her Christmas party, calling it "some white Brazilian outfit by some white Brazilian whose name she spelled. Something like Miehle," it was obvious she was referring to Carlos Miele — who has appeared in the Post several times. But the designer didn’t complain about her apparent lack of recognition, or the misspelling. Instead, he followed up on Monday, sending her a pair of stretch denim panties, with his name on the label.
MARC IN HN: The Christmas wish of every London-girl-about-town has finally come true. In February, Marc Jacobs will open his first in-store boutique in Harvey Nichols. The store — which will be Jacobs’ first in Europe — will be an 850-square-foot space on the first floor of the Knightsbridge store. "We felt it was the right time to do it," said Anne Pitcher, buying director for women’s wear at Harvey Nicks. "Spring was one of his best shows to date, it’s certainly something our customers have been waiting for." The Marc by Marc Jacobs diffusion line will relocate from the second to the third floor, while accessories will remain on the ground floor.
BARD NEWS: William Shakespeare’s "Hamlet" looks set to be one of 2003’s hottest tickets in London’s West End — with Jude Law tipped to play the lead. Law is said to be in talks with the Ambassador Theatre Group, which has a joint venture — Natural Nylon Theatre Group — with Law’s production company Natural Nylon. Earlier this year, Law trod the boards with great success as Dr. Faustus at the Young Vic.
MUSICAL WEARS: German electro-clash label International Deejay Gigolos is celebrating its 100th release and fifth anniversary with some exclusive underthings. Since the Gigolos logo is the snarling face of Sid Vicious and since he professes to "like girls and knickers," the label’s founder, Helmut Geier, asked Malcolm McLaren offspring Joe Corre of Agent Provocateur to collaborate.
There will be only 500 pairs of the limited- edition sheer briefs printed with Vicious flexing his biceps. Although Agent Provocateur has a strict policy of selling solely through its own boutiques, the kinky collector’s item will be also be available at Colette in Paris, Apartment in Berlin, Slips in Munich and Seven in New York.

“It’s life, I’m going to face it,” @mingxi11 sighed. “I fell, but you know, I think the most important thing is that I get back up. I had the love, the help from my sister — the girl next to me Gizele [Oliveira] — she’s so nice. When I went backstage everybody was trying to comfort me like ‘Oh Ming, it’s OK.’ I’m really, really touched. I think it’s them who gave me the courage to go back on stage for the finale,” Xi told WWD of her fall at the @victoriassecret fashion show. “I just wanted to create this fully rounded character, but I do think what excited me most was just the opportunity to give a group of people representation that I feel needs it. I like to do characters in projects that stand for something and Karolina definitely does, so that was really exciting to me,” @ginnygardner says of her new role in @hulu’s “The Runaways.” Gardner plays Karolina Dean, a queer superhero, which is a rarity for @marvel.
