MOUSE CLUB: John Galliano might never be caught on the scream rides at Euro Disney, but the theme park near Paris has tapped him and other designers for a Nov. 30 charity auction marking its 10th anniversary. Galliano created a fantasy sketch of a Christian Dior outfit suitable for a 10-year-old princess, as have Sonia Rykiel, Thierry Mugler, Sybilla, Jean Charles de Castelbajac and others. Some items, including shoes by Christian Louboutin and the Mugler dress, will be produced and sold in support of “The Child’s Voice,” a federation of 50 children’s charities. Also up for grabs are costumes worn in Disney parades, original drawings and other collectibles.
CHEZ LOULOU: Speculation is heating up in Paris that a vacant retail space near picturesque Place du Palais Bourbon will soon be taken up by Loulou de la Falaise for her new fashion venture: a boutique selling classic clothes and accessories. The location in question, at 7 Rue de Bourgonge across from the famous florist Moulié, was formerly a Lina’s sandwich shop. De la Falaise, the famous Yves Saint Laurent muse and accessory designer, was vacationing Monday and could not be reached for comment. But sources said her venture has solid backing, including that of the retired couturier himself and his business partner, Pierre Bergé, and Eric de Rothschild.
LIQUOR IS CHICER: Suze Couture by Christian Lacroix, to be unveiled in Paris Sept. 12, is not another clothing collection for the busy designer. Rather, Lacroix has been tapped by the famous French liqueur brand Suze to create a signature wrap for a limited-edition series. About 70,000 Lacroix-style bottles will be available this fall for about $11. Each will contain the famous bitter aperitif made from gentiane, a mountain flower.
HICKS CLICKS: Let the rest of the party hardy crowd on Ibiza have their fun. For Londoners Allegra and Ashley Hicks, “island living” translates as “working vacation.” Allegra is busy organizing her September fashion presentation, with the help of Miranda Brooks and Brooke de Ocampo, to be held in Donald Baechler’s Chelsea studio in New York. For his part, Ashley is busy putting the finishing touches on a book about his late father, interior decorator David Hicks.
ART IMITATES LIFE: Sunday’s episode of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” centered on accounting issues. The fiancée of a chief executive portrayed on the show owns a dog named EBIT, finance jargon for earnings before interest and taxes. That also happens to be the name of a female Yorkshire terrier owned by a real-life ex-ceo — Warnaco’s Linda J. Wachner.
OH BABY: There’s a new girl in the Baby Phat clan. Kimora Lee Simmons gave birth Friday to Aoki Lee Kyoko Simmons, who weighed in at 7 pounds, 8 ounces. Aoki joins big sister, two-year-old Ming Lee, and of course, dad, Russell.
