OLIVE & BETTES DO BLEECKER: The retail space at 384 Bleecker Street is a power location, opposite Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren, so lucky is the tenant that leases the 1,100-square-foot space. According to Christopher Owles, a broker at Sinvin Realty, Olive & Bettes is that retailer.

The company will open the store in the fall. It will be its fourth location in Manhattan.

Owles said space on Bleecker Street is becoming scarce — there’s now more demand than available supply. Since Jacobs opened his first store — he now operates three units on the block — upscale retailers have realized the West Village’s potential. Ralph Lauren has two stores on the street and is reportedly seeking a third.

The Bleecker Street store will be Olive & Bettes’ largest and the company is planning to add more brands. Olive & Bettes’ existing stores are at 252 Columbus Avenue, 158 Spring Street and 1070 Madison Avenue.
