PERSONALS SERVICE: Mauricio and Roger Padilha, brothers and owners of the five-year-old public relations firm MAO, are busy setting up a new venture to also handle sales for some of their clients. Liz Collins, Gary Graham, Chanpaul by Paul Chan, Michael & Hushi and "8" will be repped for sales by the new company at 580 Broadway, while Brianna Espitalier, formerly of Vivienne Westwood and Daryl K, has been named director of sales. Clearly tied up with the new venture, Roger Padilha announced its opening on Monday with a release from his personal e-mail account. For those interested, he can be reached at Eastvillagestud@aol.com.STREET WALKERS: Vogue's editor at large Andre Leon Talley and Chado designer Ralph Rucci are expected to return to New York prior to the close of the Paris couture shows to take part in a ceremony for the installment of designer plaques along Seventh Avenue's Fashion Walk of Fame on July 17. Talley will introduce Stephen Burrows, while Rucci, who is showing a collection at the couture on July 11, will present the honor posthumously to Mainbocher, who was the first American designer accepted by the Parisian fashion establishment when he designed there in the Thirties.DIOR DUNGAREES: Christian Dior began selling its pre-spring collection in Paris last week and unveiled a few surprising new projects, including capsule collections of jeans and wedding dresses. The jeans, which will initially be sold exclusively at Dior boutiques, were created to go with its perennially popular "J'Adore Dior" T-shirts.The tight-fitting jeans, boasting pink stitching and a pink Dior tab on the back pocket, will retail for about $180. There are also two styles of jeans jackets, including one with unusual raglan sleeves, for about $300. Meanwhile, in the bridal department, options include delicate bias columns and a one-shouldered gown in white leather with corset-style lacing slithering around it.NOT SO AVERAGE: The latest Hollywood exports to London, Kyle MacLachlan and Woody Harrelson, make their West End debut on Aug 7. Starring in the comedy "On An Average Day," written by John Kolvenbach and directed by John Crowley, MacLachlan and Harrelson will tread the boards at The Comedy Theatre in Knightsbridge, playing brothers Jack and Robert. Running for around three months, the play is set in rural upstate New York, and follows the story of Jack returning home after a 15-year absence to find his younger brother Robert on trial for a traffic accident, as well as having adopted some extraordinary habits.SUMMER CHER: Agnona, the Italian luxury goods firm, repaid Bergdorf Goodman with a perk for an unusually strong trunk show that garnered $900,000: The company gave 40 Bergdorf's staffers primo seats for Cher's concert Thursday night at Madison Square Garden. Earlier in the day, BET news anchor Jacqui Reid hammed it up with the Cher-inspired mannequin in the window of Henri Bendel's Fifth Avenue store. She was on hand filming Stephen Burrows, who decked out Cher in the Seventies, at his first trunk show at the store.ROYAL FLUSH: Camilla Parker Bowles is racking up royal invitations faster than you can say RSVP. This week, she's due to accompany Prince Charles to Buckingham Palace for an official dinner with British business leaders, and attend an official palace garden party at Holyrood House, the Queen's Scottish residence. The psychedelic fashion that pervaded the ’60s is back with an exhibit at the @museumofcityny. “Mode New York: Fashion Takes a Trip” chronicles the changing styles from 1960 through 1973 and features designers such as @ysl, @oscardelarenta and more. The exhibition, which is on display through April 1, is organized into four periods: First Lady Fasion, Youthquake, New Bohemia and New Nonchalance.
