REESE’S CLASS ACT: Reese Witherspoon appears to be letting bygones be bygones when it comes to Chanel. According to her publicist, Nancy Ryder, the actress has moved on from the snafu — which saw Witherspoon wearing the same dress on the red carpet at the Golden Globes that Kirsten Dunst wore three years ago to the same event — and doesn’t harbor any grudge. Nor does her publicity team. “I am a fan of Chanel,” Ryder said. “I have no issues with Chanel. It was an unfortunate mistake on their part, and unfortunately it happened with Reese, but people make mistakes. Reese and I continue to support Chanel, as do my other clients.” What is regrettable, then? “It’s unfortunate that this is overshadowing Reese’s win,” said Ryder. As for Witherspoon’s Oscar dress plans, Ryder had no comment since nominations will not be announced until Jan. 31.
REEBOK TAPS GYLLENHAAL: Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal is the latest celeb to join the Reebok stable. The quirky star of films such as “Secretary” and “The Great New Wonderful” will appear in Reebok’s “I Am What I Am” brand campaign, which has featured Allen Iverson, Christina Ricci, and Lucy Liu, among others. Reebok will fete Gyllenhaal next week at a dinner event billed as a night of “cocktails, cuisine and conversation” with the actress, who is known for her offbeat fashion style. “Gyllenhaal is unique in Hollywood for her personal style and the roles she chooses,” said Deena Bahri, Reebok’s director of lifestyle marketing. “She is a great representative for our brand, which is about promoting individual style.”
