STARS AND STRIPES: Who better to break in Ian Schrager’s newly renovated Paramount Bar in New York than Madonna? The songbird and her husband, Guy Ritchie, invited a group of their pals including Stella McCartney, Guy Oseary, Chris Rock, Michael Moore, Sandra Bernhard, Willem Dafoe, Carson Daly and Ingrid Casares to the Philippe Starck-renovated bar Wednesday night, as the Material Girl took a break from her "American Life" press tour. But she didn’t leave business too far behind. When DJ Juske played "American Life," Madonna, Ritchie and McCartney grooved on the dance floor, as the revelers egged them on.
HITCHING POST: Romeo Gigli finally tied the knot with his companion of the past 10 years, Lara Aragno, who wore — big surprise — a red dress designed by her beloved. The secret ceremony was held two weekends ago in Portofino, where the designer owns a house. The press-shy Gigli invited only 30 friends to the ceremony and reception. One of them was Silvana Armani, Giorgio Armani’s niece. And Armani himself, spending the weekend in Portofino, happened to bump into the happy couple. The honeymoon? A weekend sailing.

"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
