SWIM LIKE EVA: The role fashion has played in Eva Herzigova’s life has always been a large one, but it’s about to get even bigger. The model’s spokeswoman confirmed Herzigova is about to launch a swimwear collection. The line, featuring about 12 swimsuits and a dozen other complementing pieces such as cover-ups and pants, will bow for spring. There are few details on the line’s production and distribution. Prices will likely start at around $110 retail, or 100 euros in local currency, and distribution will be international but selective, the spokeswoman said. Herzigova also is busy designing her own ballet slipper. Her creation will be produced by Sabelt, a Turin-based sports footwear firm that is owned by the family of her boyfriend, Gregorio Marsiaj.

WIGGED OUT: If there’s a charity of choice for the fashion crowd, it’s New Yorkers for Children. The latest company to get behind it is Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, which is donating to the charity proceeds from the opening party for its store at 3 East 57th Street on Thursday night. What’s more, the event also will mark the unveiling of YSL’s window displays, as inspired by the fall collection and ad campaign —?meaning the mannequins will be sporting the same wild Diana Ross hairdos as their runway model counterparts.

DESTINATION BRYANT PARK: Fashion addicts have another reason to go to eBay. W Hotels is auctioning “Catwalk for a Cause,” a weeklong sojourn to this month’s spring 2004 edition of 7th on Sixth, with bidding through Sept. 12. Proceeds will benefit Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.
The winner will score seats at fashion shows — Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Catherine Malandrino, Lacoste, Luca Luca and Anna Sui are on the agenda — a backstage tour, access to the closing-night bash, a shopping spree, car service, dinner, a few other freebies and, of course, accommodations at the W. After all the festivities, the freshly minted fashionista can take another complementary getaway, thanks to two free tickets on Song Airlines, a Delta carrier for the stylish set.
