TALES OF TELLURIDE: If you’re looking for Ralph and Ricky Lauren this weekend, you’ll find them at their ranch in Telluride, where Polo Ralph Lauren is the 29th annual Telluride Film Festival’s presenting sponsor. The festival, which opens today and runs through Monday, will pay tribute to the filmmaking career of Paul Schrader, whose work includes "Taxi Driver," "American Gigolo" and "Last Temptation of Christ." His new film, "Autofocus," starring Greg Kinnear and Willem Dafoe, will be shown.Among those expecting to attend the festival, where 32 films will be shown, are Peter O’Toole and D.A. Pennebaker, both of whom will be honored, as well as Kinnear, Dafoe, Mary Beth Hurt,Ralph Fiennes, Betty Comden, Adolph Green and Salman Rushdie.
ARMANI VISION: Valentino may have had Gwyneth Paltrow on his arm during Thursday night’s opening ceremonies of the Venice Film Festival, but Giorgio Armani had his own iconic guest: Sophia Loren. The Italian actress, a regular front-row attendee at Armani’s shows, wore a colorful Armani organza dress with a tiered skirt and bustier top. She plans to wear Armani again today as she accompanies the designer to the premiere of her son’s film, "Between Strangers."
