WINSLET’S HEAD ON BAZAAR’S BODY: What is it about Kate Winslet that screams “Photoshop?” Just days after British GQ confessed to digitally slimming her down in its pages, Harper’s Bazaar has admitted that its January cover is actually Winslet’s head grafted onto fashion director Mary Alice Stephenson’s body. A magazine spokesman says Winslet was originally shot against a white background; when editor Glenda Bailey later decided she wanted a gold background instead, Stephenson stood in. (Strands of hair on Winslet’s neck in the photo likely conceal the traces of the seam.) “I did try to reach Glenda for this,” the spokesman deadpanned, “but her legs were being shot for the May cover.”
