MANHASSET, N.Y. — Hundreds of revelers turned up in Long Island last Friday night for cocktails and calypso music at the opening party for the Ferragamo store at Americana Manhasset. The 3,000- square-foot Ferragamo store was designed by Michael Gabellini and is a study in contrasts with smooth and rough surfaces of walnut, stone and metal.

The fete was thrown in conjunction with the Long Island Antiques Show to benefit the North Shore University Hospital Critical Care Unit at Glen Cove. Attendees included Massimo Ferragamo and his wife Chiara, as well as socialites Cornelia Guest, Lisa Schiff and Monique Merrill.
