NEW YORK — In an effort to bolster its wholesale and retail businesses in the U.S., Ferragamo USA has made two key executive appointments.
Linda Russell has been named senior vice president of women’s sales, effective May 9, and Paula Faulk was tapped as senior vice president, general merchandise manager, effective Monday.
Most recently, Russell was with Chanel USA, where she was vice president, sales and marketing for accessories and footwear. During her 16-year tenure at Chanel, Russell held various posts within the sales division.
At Ferragamo, Russell will be responsible for sales of the women’s collections, shoes, handbags and accessories to its wholesale accounts.
Faulk joins Ferragamo from Giorgio Armani, where she has held various posts in retail and merchandising throughout her 21-year tenure. For the past six years, she was senior vice president of women’s merchandising where she oversaw merchandising for both the Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani businesses. Her first job at Armani was in women’s sales at the first Armani flagship in New York.
Faulk’s responsibilities at Ferragamo will include merchandising for all product categories — women’s and men’s shoes, accessories and ready-to-wear — in the company’s stores.
Faulk assumes merchandising responsibility from Ira Melnitsky, who was promoted last year to executive vice president of Ferragamo, overseeing merchandising and wholesale and retail sales. Russell’s post has been vacant since the resignation last year of Eric Schwartz.
Both executives report to Melnitsky.
