PARIS —The snake might seem to be an unusual motif for a couture collection, but Valentino knew just how to turn that inspiration into looks that played to the creature’s sensuality and strength, rather than its other implications. Some of his looks did have sinful elements, of course, but they were skillfully woven into a tapestry of haute elegance. Suits were among the stars of the show, along with great evening looks.
