MADRID — Calvin Klein creative director Francisco Costa played host Thursday night at a party here to fete Eva Mendes, the face for the fragrance and CK underwear lines, with a guest list that included royalty-related Madrid socialites, local TV personalities and fashion models.
Costa and Mendes were wrapping up a personal appearance earlier in the day at El Corte Ingles, Spain’s giant department store chain, and the company’s second-largest account in the world after Macy’s, according to Calvin Klein International president and chief executive Tom Murry. “Spain is a very important market for us and, in 2010, we’ll start shopping around for freestanding store locations here,” said Murry.
