LOS ANGELES -- Frankie B is taking its sexy, Seventies-inspired low-rise look into the swim arena. The beachwear collection, which bowed at Coterie in New York Sunday, includes a stretch denim triangle top, bandeau and shirred bikinis and one-pieces as well as striped terry cloth suits and sportswear.

The swim separates, which come in sizes 0-10, are priced between $15 and $45 wholesale, while the pull-on pants, tube dresses, hoodies and minis run from $35 to $68. The company projects bikini sales of $1 million in their first year.

"Shopping for swimsuits and jeans were the things I hated most because I never found any that fit me properly," said designer Daniella Clarke. "I always made my own and I thought it was time to share.

"I wanted a collection that you could mix and match," she added. "I always had the problem of what to throw on over a swimsuit that was easy and fashionable. You can pull on the tube dress or pants over the bikini and you're dressed for lunch."
