Franziska Michael is known for her tongue-in-cheek designs, but this season she seemed to be playing a bit too much for laughs and lost sight of wearability. Michael successfully referenced sportswear with men’s perforated leather jogging pants, but cycling shorts layered under black mesh will likely only find favor with Berlin’s under-30 club goers. And while her boxy printed Neoprene sweaters with hair extensions attached to the back raised a smirk from the crowd, it will be difficult for them to translate off the runway.
