Stephanie Franzius’ bold photographic prints have won her a loyal Berlin following, and her first Berlin Fashion Week show didn’t disappoint. A print of flashing lights, which came in both black-and-white and multicolored, was worked on floor-length kaftans, chiffon blouses and slinky silk pants.
Colorblocking was another theme: A blue and russet silk blouse was tucked into russet silk pants, a nude Neoprene dress was worn over blue leggings and a fuchsia dress revealed a panel of red across the back.
Oversize coats styled with sloping shoulders, long lapels and gaping sleeves in mottled and sometimes hairy wool also made a strong presence.
“I was touched by the fact that she lost her father, really before his time, and it was a real shock. She had two young children, she was married and she was expecting that she would have her own life for a good 25 years,” said Claire Foy about playing a young Queen Elizabeth in Netflix’s The Crown. “It transcends the genre that is you think of a sci-fi show — you don’t expect it to be so profound or emotionally riveting,” Evan Rachel Wood told WWD of her Emmy nominated role in Westworld. styled by @samanthamcmillen_stylist 📸 @emmanmontalvan #emmys2017 #wwdeye
