Among the many young hopefuls who showed under the Gen Art umbrella last week was Japanese designer Atsuko Nagayasu, who showed her quirky line of sportswear, Ballroom, a mix of leafy prints and sequined strips on wrap skirts or a slinky shirred jersey top. Meanwhile, San Francisco-based Lemon Twist’s Eric and Danette Scheib showed off-kilter hipster chic — oxfords layered with T-shirts featuring stenciled fish prints or shiny cargos with striped jackets.
