Naming her spring collection Love Stories, designer Frida Weyer sent out a parade of evening options suited for a cast of party girls, flower girls and even brides. Lace insets created peek-a-boo moments on many of the looks, including a tailored blazer and short skirt, satin jumpsuit and scoop-necked frock. Some of the bodices were draped or pieced to reveal part of the torso, a look not always done to the most flattering effect, while some of the little tops in peach satin sometimes looked more rumpled than relaxed.
For a sweeter look, Weyer combined chiffons in candy shades of pink, yellow and peach with white chiffon or lace. Her final group in white neatly balanced foundation and flutter, i.e., a dress featuring a lace bodice over a satin bra, its open back loosely clasped with a satin bow closure.
Peter Kim's Los Angeles-based premium denim line has always had its finger on the pulse of youth. This season, novelty is back in a way reminiscent of early Aughts, with studs, lace-ups, racing waxed denim and more. "I was driving back on Saturday afternoon from the beach, and I just saw this sign saying 'Skydiving for $95.' And I was like, I can't not sky dive for $95," says Tom Bateman about a moment in Hawaii while shooting "Snatched." #wwdeye (📷: @vsteves; Interview by @ktauer; Styled by @thealexbadia)
