NEW YORK — Veronique Gabai-Pinsky, formerly of Symrise, has joined the Estée Lauder Cos. as senior vice president, general manager of the Aramis and Designer Fragrance Division.

In this newly created position, Gabai-Pinsky will be responsible for all marketing and creative strategies and activities related to the Donna Karan and Michael Kors brands. She will work directly with John Karp, president of the division, and will report to Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne, group president in charge of the Lauder brand, MAC Cosmetics and the Designer Fragrances division.

Bousquet-Chavanne said the company wants to ensure it has “a growth base” for its designer fragrance business, as well as “a position that can truly develop that portfolio of brands.” He added, “I think we have two exceptional brands within this portfolio with Donna Karan and Michael Kors and want to make sure that we have the best creative talent possible to lead the conceptual development of those brands and of others to come in the future.”

He noted this is part of the company’s drive towards developing its designer fragrance portfolio and the structure to support it.

Gabai-Pinsky’s previous post at Symrise was executive vice president and general manager for Fine Fragrance, North America.
