GENEVA — Elegance reigned in the watch world as companies unveiled their latest collections at Baselworld, the Watch & Jewellery Show and the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Basel and Geneva. The difference this time was in the details, as watches took on a more feminine look. Designers such as Cartier took inspiration from Forties fashion, with jeweled bracelet pieces, while Ebel opted for thinner straps and diamonds. Here, Cartier’s “Déclaration” watch with pavé diamond bands that playfully conceal a single diamond and Ebel’s “Beluga Midnight” diamond evening watch. For more on the shows, see pages 4 through 7.
