NEW YORK — Stephen Croncota has been named head of global marketing at Gianni Versace SpA, a new post.

Based in Milan, he reports to Donatella Versace, co-chairman and chief designer, and Santo Versace, co-chairman and president.
Croncota will oversee the company’s global marketing program and will create initiatives that will extend all the Versace brands internationally and regionally. Included under the umbrella of Gianni Versace SpA, which generates $500 million annually in wholesale volume, are Versace, Versus, Versace Jeans Couture, Versace Classic, Versace Sport, Versace Intimo, Versace Intensive, Versace Mare, Versace Young and Palazzo Versace.
Most recently, Croncota was senior vice president, programming at the Style television network — E! Entertainment’s fashion and lifestyle channel. Prior to that he was at Warner Bros. as senior vice president, worldwide creative director of the Consumer Products Group and before that was creative director for the Cartoon Network.
