NEW YORK — Harold Blatter has been named to the new post of vice president of international sourcing and production at The He-Ro Group, the company said Monday. He will be responsible for He-Ro’s production capabilities in conjunction with its manufacturing offices in Hong Kong. Blatter, who will be based in New York, will report to Allan R. Bogner, president and chief operating officer.
Since October, Blatter had been running Harold Blatter & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in sourcing, product development and manufacturing. Before that, he was vice president for overseas operations at The Warren Group for six years. He has also been president and chief executive officer of Guilliana Imports, and president and principal of Sabrina Knits.
As reported, He-Ro has downsized and is refocusing its operation around its core Black Tie by Oleg Cassini and Niteline special occasion collections. It has discontinued several labels, including licensed divisions under the Oscar de la Renta, Bill Blass, Bob Mackie and J.G. Hook names.
