Herbert Gallant, former president of Gallant International, a women's coat and suit manufacturer, died May 11 at his home in Jupiter, Fla., after a long illness, said his son, Robert Gallant. He was 84.
Herbert Gallant joined the family-owned company, then known as Frank Gallant Inc., in 1945 in sales. Ten years later, he was named president. The business was founded by Herbert's father, Frank, in 1916.
