Hien Le has always played it simple with clean lines, controlled contrasts, subtle tucks and folds and a gentle palette. He did just that for spring, incorporating a signature, self-designed print of fish and jellyfish into many of the looks. He also showed paneled dresses and tops in silk georgette or charmeuse and featured a light take on this season’s mesh mania with softly tailored shorts and pants and supersimple, oversize tops for men and women in white Neoprene mesh. “It all looked so fresh, light, positive,” said Constanza Cavalli Etro. In town to talk to Mercedes-Benz about the upcoming Fashion Film Festival Milano, she went backstage to personally compliment Le on his collection.
