NEW YORK — Paging Tippi Hedren. Carolina Herrera’s stylish fall collection had the tailored-yet-sexy appeal of an Alfred Hitchcock heroine, combining refinement and allure in a way that would have been ideal for the actress in her movie-star heyday. There were vivid, cinematic colors, with the bright blues and reds of skies and sports cars, and such pieces as narrow, belted skirts, tailored blouses and pretty cocktail dresses.
