“I don’t drink I don’t smoke. What do you want me to do at a party?” Karl Lagerfeld asked, explaining why he was holed up in an interview suite instead of whooping it up as Hogan unveiled its third collaboration with the designer. “I like the idea of co-branding. I love the people I work with day to day, but I like also to work with new people. It’s very stimulating.”
The outerwear had a rocker edge, using materials like stretch leather, denim and Lurex, plus zippers. Highlights included a trench coat in a black, technical nylon, and such accessories as a tote and a clutch in pleated leather or in patent leather with a bubble pattern. Meanwhile, guests including singer Marianne Faithfull and actress Elizabeth Berkley made a beeline for the Hogan by Karl Lagerfeld flats.
