YSL RETAPS WATERGATE: Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche has reopened its renovated store in Washington. Located in the historic Watergate complex, the 1,500-square-foot store is owned and operated under a franchise agreement with the Marx family, which also owns and operates the local Saks Jandel specialty stores. Originally opened in 1972, the store was the second Rive Gauche unit to open in the U.S., outside of New York. The Watergate store presents the complete Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche women’s ready-to-wear and accessory collections. It follows an aesthetic initiated by the New York flagship and is emblematic of the new phase that YSL has entered under Tom Ford’s creative direction.
