AGNONA APPOINTMENT: Linda Sheldon has been named executive vice president of Agnona, a division of Ermenegildo Zegna. She succeeds Melissa Parker-Lilly, who resigned her post as president of Agnona in December to become president of Donna Karan Collection. Most recently, Sheldon was president of the DKNY/Donna Karan coat division of Fairbrooke. Before that, she was senior vice president of sales for the women’s ready-to-wear collection at Thierry Mugler. Earlier, she worked at GFT, first for the women’s collection at Giorgio Armani Le Collezioni and later for Valentino Boutique. She reports to Richard Cohen, president and chief executive of Zegna, which acquired Agnona four years ago.

BLECHSCHMIDT STEPS DOWN: Angelica Blechschmidt has resigned from her post as editor of German Vogue. Blechschmidt, who was reached by telephone on Sunday, confirmed that she has stepped down but declined further comment.
TALBOTS COMBINATION: A combined Talbots Mens and Talbots Kids store is scheduled to open in September at 527 Madison Ave., marking the introduction of the company’s new men’s wear concept to Manhattan. The 9,780-square-foot store will be on the corner of 54th Street, next to the Talbots misses flagship at 525 Madison Ave. With the opening, Talbots’ total space on the block increases to 32,680 square feet, making this location Talbots biggest. Talbots, which operates close to 900 stores, will open its first men’s store in April in Westport, Conn. Other men’s openings are set for King of Prussia, Pa., and Worthington, Ohio.
