PIAGET POLO CLASSIC: Christina Johnson, president and chief executive officer of Saks Fifth Avenue, and Paula Zahn, CNN anchor, will be honored this Sunday at the fourth annual Piaget Polo Classic. The event , sponsored by Piaget, will be held at Conyers Farm in Greenwich, Conn., and includes a luncheon and celebrity auction. It is organized by The Greenwich/Westchester Committee for Montefiore Medical Center and benefits the Children's Hospital at Montefiore.ASHLEY STEWART EXPANDING: Ashley Stewart, a chain of 176 stores serving plus-size women, with sales of roughly $175 million annually, will open its first store in Richmond, Va., Thursday at the Beaufont Mall. The new unit will mark the retailer's 17th opening this year, three of them in Virginia. A subsidiary of Secaucus, N.J.-based Urban Brands, Ashley Stewart stores are mostly in urban areas and average 4,700 square feet. Urban Brands chief executive Robert Bland said Tuesday that the chain's growth plans call for opening at least 25 stores a year through 2004.KELLWOOD MEN'S HEAD: Kellwood Co. has named Paul Robb president of its men's wear division, adding to his duties as president of Slates' licensed tops division.
