A VERY GOOD YEAR: Dolce & Gabbana registered a 40.1 percent increase in sales, to $469.3 million from $334.9 million, during the fiscal year ended March 31. According to director of general affairs Cristiana Ruella, the firm expects pretax profits to grow about 80 percent to $80.2 million from $44.5 million in the prior year. Shoes and accessories generated the greatest amount of growth, she said. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 72.6 percent to $100.5 million from $58.2 million.
GOING FORWARD: Forward, the Lower East Side boutique subsidized by the LES Business Improvement District, has announced new judges for its style council: Mickey Boardman of Paper Magazine; Mary Gehlhar of Gen Art; Christina Ha of Metro TV; Gina Maher of Lucky Magazine; Lynn Yaeger of TheVillage Voice, and Zoe Wolff of Time Out New York. The newly appointed members will critique the works of fledgling designers for the incubator store, which opened over a year ago. Selected designers will be able to show their wares as well as man and merchandise the boutique. The judging will take place next Tuesday at the Forward store, 72 Orchard Street, at 5 p.m.
FIRST ROUND TIFFANY: Lawyers for Tiffany & Co. said the jewelry firm has obtained a preliminary injunction from a Philadelphia federal court to bar Katz Imports Inc. from selling alleged counterfeit Tiffany jewelry on both the eBay Web site under the seller name "Diamondpaige" and through its Web site www.pennsylvaniadiamondexchange.com. According to Tiffany lawyers, the federal court had issued a seizure order executed by the U.S. Marshals Service, which seized illicit diamond rings and bracelets on the premises of Katz Imports, as well as receipts of sales. The lawsuit, which seeks to bar further sales of alleged counterfeit jewelry, as well as the turning over of alleged illegal profits, is ongoing in the federal court.

The image depicts McCoy’s grandparents and father in London’s Trafalgar Square in the Seventies. “My work often features lots of sentimental objects.” #wwdeye
