- BLOOMINGDALE'S APPOINTMENT: Bloomingdale's has named Brooke Jaffe Scott as fashion director for fashion accessories, reporting to Stephanie Solomon, vice president for fashion direction. Scott has been accessories editor for In Style magazine, responsible for the American markets in costume jewelry, handbags, shoes, sunglasses, hats, hosiery, scarves and belts, since 2004. At Bloomingdale's, Scott will work in the market and with the store's buying organization, developing trend presentations and exclusive product, as well as advertising and catalogue presentations. She succeeds Sheila Aimette, who left the company.

- VISCONTI TO NEW YORK & CO.: New York & Company Inc. said it appointed Celia Rao Visconti chief marketing officer. Previously Visconti was senior vice president, marketing and communications for Andrew Marc. Prior to that she held positions with Tommy Hilfiger and Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani and A|X Armani Exchange. In her new position, Visconti will be responsible for the brand marketing strategies of the specialty retailer and JasmineSola. "Celia is a very talented
marketing executive who will bring experience, talent and creativity to the New York & Co. and JasmineSola brands," said Richard Crystal, chairman and chief executive officer, in a statement. "We are deeply focused on maximizing our market awareness, attracting new customers and building customer loyalty to drive sales growth, and Celia is the ideal executive to undertake these responsibilities."
