SIMONIN EXITS HARRODS: The management merry-go-round at Harrods continues to whirl. Richard Simonin has left his post as chief executive officer of Harrods 18 months after joining the company, a Harrods spokesman has confirmed. Simonin, who reported directly to Harrods owner Mohammed Al Fayed, had previously served on the Escada AG supervisory board. Simonin had replaced Max Rigelman, who left his post in April 2003 after just two months on the job. Eric Decouvelaere, Harrods’ retail strategy and organization director who joined Harrods at the same time as Simonin, has also left the company. Decouvelaere was previously deputy purchasing director at Printemps. The spokesman declined to comment on the departures, and the company has not yet announced who will replace the two executives.
