CHARMING CHANGES: Charming Shoppes Inc. promoted Diane M. Paccione to group divisional president, a new post, overseeing the Fashion Bug and Catherines Plus Sizes divisions. She will also serve as president of Fashion Bug, with direct responsibility for the day-to-day operations. Elizabeth Williams, president of Fashion Bug, has left the company. Paccione joined Charming in January 2004 as president of Catherines Plus Sizes and is credited with improving the chain's performance. Paccione will continue to report to Dorrit J. Bern, chairman, chief executive officer and president of Charming Shoppes. Also, LuAnn Via joined Charming Shoppes as president of Catherines Plus Sizes and a member of the executive leadership team. Via will have direct responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Catherines Plus Sizes and will report to Paccione. She last served as vice president and general merchandise manager at Sears, with responsibility for intimate apparel, accessories, footwear and fine jewelry.
JONES PROMOTES LASTRINA: Stacy Lastrina has been promoted to executive vice president of marketing at Jones Apparel Group, a new post. Since 2002, she has been senior vice president for corporate marketing and creative services. Lastrina continues to be responsible for the positioning and marketing of all brands within the Jones portfolio and reports to Peter Boneparth, chairman and chief executive officer of Jones.

EXCLUSIVE: Two and half months after John Targon, cofounder and codesigner of Baja East, was hired as creative director of the contemporary division at Marc Jacobs, he has left the company, WWD has learned. Marc Jacobs International, which is owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, confirmed Targon’s departure in a statement: “John Targon is a talented designer and we appreciate the work he has done here.
