EAGLE'S LEEDY FLIES: American Eagle Outfitters Inc. said Monday that its executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Michael Leedy, has resigned to pursue new opportunities. The company said it expects to name a successor "within the next few weeks." Susan McGalla, president and chief merchandising officer of the American Eagle Brand, said in a statement, "I would like to express my appreciation for Michael's many contributions to American Eagle's marketing initiatives and e-commerce business over the last 11 years." The company operates 797 stores in 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and 71 American Eagle stores in Canada. It also operates ae.com, and plans to open Martin + Osa, a new sportswear concept targeting adults between the ages of 25 and 40 this coming fall.
