GUCCI CERTIFICATES: Gucci Group's Luxury Goods Logistics, its Swiss distribution center, has obtained certifications for integrated management of quality, environment, health and safety and social responsibility. LGL is the first distribution center in the luxury goods sector to gain such certifications, the company said. LGL's integrated system involves employees and suppliers and was certified by BVQI, a global independent certification body.
GIRLS ON A RAMPAGE: Iconix Brand Group is trying to broaden its reach by signing a licensing agreement with Mamiye Bros. to manufacture Rampage girls' sportswear. Set to bow in department stores this spring, the collection will span sizes 2 to 6x and 7 to 16. Neil Cole, chief executive officer of Iconix, said, "Girls' apparel was the missing piece to make Rampage a complete lifestyle brand for women and girls."
