LOVE TO L.L. BEAN: Daniel Love has joined L.L. Bean, based in Freeport, Maine, as vice president of finance. Most recently he was chief financial officer and senior vice president for Rich’s-Macy’s, a division of Federated Department Stores. Prior to that, he was with May Department Stores in a variety of posts. CHANGES AT CELINE: Erin Berhan has joined Celine Inc. as director of wholesale. She replaces Andrew Arric, who resigned from the company last month for a post at Yves Saint Laurent. Most recently, Berhan was sales manager for Gucci America. In that role, she focused on developing its wholesale business and managing its women’s ready-to-wear division. At Celine, Berhan reports to Wendy Kahn, general manager of the U.S. In other news, Giovanni Cafiso has been promoted to national sales manager for Celine’s sister company, Emilio Pucci USA. Cafiso also reports to Kahn, and  will work closely with Carlo Brivio, Pucci’s worldwide export manager. Pucci and Celine are owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.SOLSTICE GROWS: Solstice Sunglass Store is leasing space for six stores in malls across the U.S. The luxury specialty chain is expanding in warm-weather markets and will continue adding to its existing 42 stores in 2005. Robert K. Futterman & Associates LLC is the exclusive leasing representative for the retailer.THE COTTON CLUB: Lilly Pulitzer was awarded the U.S. Cotton Champion Award for 2005. The company was recognized for using cotton in a majority of its styles and designs. Print-driven cotton fabrics have become a staple of the Lilly Pulitzer brand. “Cotton is a fabric that we believe in very strongly. It’s a fiber that we feel is consistent with who our client is,” said Sandi Davidson, vice president and creative director at Lilly Pulitzer. The sixth annual award was presented in New Orleans Wednesday night at the 2005 Beltwide Cotton Conferences by the National Cotton Council of America on behalf of its National Cotton Women’s Committee.
