P.R. CHANGES: Effective Jan. 3, Donna Karan International is relocating its European public relations efforts to London from Milan. The London-based agency Purple will oversee the company’s communications for Europe, and the p.r. department in DKI’s Milan offices is closing down. Chantal Theodore, the Milan-based p.r. director, will be leaving the company. “By operating out of London, our European public relations efforts are more centralized to service Europe,” said Patti Cohen, DKI’s executive vice president of global marketing and communications. “Purple will allow DKI to respond quickly to local press and marketing needs and requests, as well as to explore new business opportunities.”
