PINK RIBBON SWEATERS: Anne Klein New York, Neiman Marcus and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation have teamed up to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Anne Klein New York, a division of Jones Apparel Group Inc., has designed a limited-edition, pink cashmere sweater with its signature gold lioness buttons. Retailing for $295, the sweater will be sold exclusively at all Anne Klein New York and Neiman Marcus locations nationwide, neimanmarcus.com and Neiman Marcus by Mail. Carolyn Murphy wears the sweater in public service ads in October issues of Women’s Health, Harper’s Bazaar, Town & Country and Elle magazines. Anne Klein New York has pledged a minimum donation of $25,000 to the BCRF.
KORS E-COMMERCE: Michael Kors (USA) Inc. breaks into e-commerce today with the company’s first online store. The designer’s fans now can find a wealth of his products at michaelkors.com, which has been set up with Neiman Marcus Direct. A breadth of accessories from the Michael Kors collection, the bridge line Kors Michael Kors and the better collection Michael Michael Kors are being sold through the site. There is also a selection of ready-to-wear pieces from the Michael Kors and Michael Michael Kors collections. Fragrance, eyewear and other licensed products also will be featured.
ELLEN TRACY SHOES: Ellen Tracy, in a licensing agreement with Modern Shoe Co. LLC, of Readville, Mass., will launch footwear under both the Ellen Tracy, and Company Ellen Tracy brand names. The new lines will be available at department and specialty stores in February.
