RALPH’S HARLEM HONOR: The Abyssinian Development Corp. chose Ralph Lauren as one of its Renaissance Honorees this year. Lauren is being recognized for his efforts to help the revitalization of New York’s Harlem neighborhood. In 2003, Lauren opened the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention in Harlem. It is a partnership with North General Hospital and Memorial Sloane Kettering. Andre Leon Talley is expected to hand Lauren the award at a leadership breakfast on Tuesday. Other honorees are Michael Lee-Chin, chairman and chief executive officer of AIC Limited; Robert Rubin, chairman of the executive committee at Citigroup Inc., and Paula Madison, president and general manager of NBC in Los Angeles. Proceeds from the breakfast will go to the revitalization of Harlem.
