- TRINA TURK'S NEW PARTNER: Trina Turk, the designer of the namesake contemporary fashion company promoting the Southern California lifestyle, said she has received an investment from KarpReilly LLC. Terms weren't disclosed. KarpReilly LLC, which was founded in Greenwich, Conn., by former investors at New York's Apax Partners and Stamford, Conn.-based Saunders Karp & Megrue, bought the share owned by Lyne Lee, Turk's former partner. Turk and her husband, photographer Jonathan Skow, own the company along with KarpReilly. Trina Turk generates $45 million in wholesale sales and from retail business at five branded stores in Los Angeles, Palm Springs, New York and Alhambra, Calif., where the company is based. KarpReilly said it plans to open four new stores a year and add product categories such as footwear. The Sage Group, a Los Angeles-based investment bank, advised Trina Turk and CIT Commercial Services continues to provide the company's revolving debt facility.

- NEW VEGAS TRADE SHOW: Christian Audigier, the designer behind the namesake $200 million company that produces clothing and accessories for brands such as Ed Hardy, Smet and Evel Knievel, is expanding his empire with a new trade show at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Called When I Move You Move, the four-day show will kick off Aug. 25, overlapping with other trade expos run by MAGIC Marketplace, Project and ENK. In addition to his own brands that he will wholesale to retailers, Audigier will feature celebrity lines from Macy Gray, Snoop Dogg and Dave Stewart. Kasandra Carlson, the former national sales manager at MAGIC, will serve as Audigier's director of trade show and events.
