UNLIMITED HORIZONS: Jim Oien and Linda Eddy have left Limited Brands to take the posts of vice presidents of planning-allocation and real estate, respectively, at Pacific Sunwear of California, the 803-unit specialty chain based in Anaheim, Calif. Oien, whose post has been vacant for about eight months, reports to Tim Harmon, president and chief merchandising officer, while Eddy steps into a new post and reports to Shelley Smith, senior vice president of real estate. Oien was with Limited Brands for 18 years, most recently as vice president of distribution planning with Limited Logistics Services. Eddy is rejoining Pac Sun, where she was previously regional director of leasing, after two and half years as Limited Brands’ regional vice president of real estate.

SOLE SURVIVORS: Industrial designer Yves Béhar is trying to give Birkenstock a kick. His big departure, closed-toe designs for the 232-year-old label, will be unveiled at today’s opening of the "National Design Triennial: Inside Design Now" at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York City. Aimed at urbanites who might not tie themselves to the brand’s earthy- crunchy roots, the new line still has such down-home touches as recyclable cork and compostable techno gels but with a sleek design. The $225 kicks hit select stores next month.
