NEW YORK — Brightly colored prints and patterns rule the waves for spring-summer 2004 swimwear fabrics. While stripes continue, flat, retro florals are also popping up in brown and blue or rose combinations. Texture, meanwhile, is either sleek and fluid or puckered and seersuckerlike. Of note is a terry jacquard in a vivid, swim-worthy orange.
