The intimate apparel and bodywear textile segment of the Lyon, Mode City fair will feature 330 exhibitors and a plethora of trend ideas and new product. Three themes will outline a broad and precise summary of inspiration gleaned from geopolitical and cultural influences: Abundance, Strength and Luxury.

A good deal of specialty fabrics and trims, particularly laces, also will be showcased for ready-to-wear and couture houses, said Jehan Quettier, general director of Eurovet, the show’s parent.

The breakdown of specialty classifications, man-made and natural, include:

    LUXURY
It’s all about classic beauty and femininity. Soft luxury fabrics and treatments underscore soft, alluring silhouettes. Key colors: black and white.

    ABUNDANCE
This theme is inspired by nature with a wealth of rich hues and textures. Lingerie, or anything that has a look of lingerie, is highly embellished and ornamental. A key element is what show organizers call “orientalism.” The motifs and fabrics are treated the same way as the color palette of sensual, earth-inspired colors.

    STRENGTH
A strong and powerful statement that expresses a desire for order and solidity, this theme focuses on the clean simplicity of style and silhouette. Motifs and fabrics combine tradition and modernity in a contrasting range of mineral tones.
