JOCKEY TAPS HUNTER: Donna Hunter has been named to the new post of vice president of merchandising for women’s intimates and bras at Jockey International.
She reports to Jim Noble, senior vice president of Jockey brand merchandising.
Hunter oversees all of Jockey’s women’s product development, including merchandising and sourcing. Reporting to Hunter will be Ann Ewing, senior designer of women’s intimates; Lynda Lund-Clappier, senior designer of bras, and two merchandising managers of intimates — Suzette Bilotti and Ualani Ho’opai.
Hunter was formerly director of global sourcing for intimate apparel, sleepwear and other products at Kmart. She joined Kmart in 1996 as a buyer for several product categories, including intimate apparel.
Hunter’s buying career began in 1982 at Mervyn’s. In 1988, she joined The Bon Marche as a buyer of foundations and shapewear. She was recruited to Charming Shoppes in 1992 as principal buyer of foundations. While at Charming Shoppes, she led the development of intimate apparel and bra lines from their inception to the finished product.
Noble said, "The diversified experience that Donna brings to Jockey will be invaluable to the growth of the brand. Her expertise in all apparel channels of distribution — department stores, specialty stores and discount stores — and her multifunctional merchandising capabilities, position her to meet the challenges of this industry."
LEIGH DOES NEIMAN’S: Young, contemporary designer Leigh Bantivoglio has created an exclusive collection of lingerie for Neiman Marcus. Named "Classic," it is now bowing in stores and features specially selected French Chantilly-lace stretch lace in three colors: ivory; black on black, and black on nude.
The Neiman Marcus Classic Collection offers Bantivoglio’s signature lined camisole with coordinating French-cut lace panties. Additionally, a new silhouette will be introduced: a lined V-neck lace top with a full-back treatment.
Neiman Marcus buyer Kate Dubas said, "Leigh’s camisoles are, to our fashion customer, like the perfect T-shirt. You can never have enough."

“I just wanted to create this fully rounded character, but I do think what excited me most was just the opportunity to give a group of people representation that I feel needs it. I like to do characters in projects that stand for something and Karolina definitely does, so that was really exciting to me,” @ginnygardner says of her new role in @hulu’s “The Runaways.” Gardner plays Karolina Dean, a queer superhero, which is a rarity for @marvel. “Azzedine has been one of the biggest influences in my life. He has always been such a strong, loving, fatherly figure to me. I call him Papa. His designs are indescribably unique, they are pieces of art. He knew how to make the female form look its loveliest. I have so many memories of him; my favorite might be during my first show with him in Paris. He liked me and he wanted to help me get more work. He called all his friends at Kenzo and Comme des Garcons, and asked them to book me. They said, ‘But she can’t walk!’ And he said, ‘but she has such a great ass!' His friendship and support has been the great privilege of my career. I can't imagine life without him. Repose en paix mon Papa.” - @stephanieseymour tells @wwd. #wwdfashion (📷: @steveeichner) #alaia #azzedinealaia

He designed Seymour’s dress for her 1995 wedding to Peter Brant, and treated Campbell (who famously called him Papa), like a daughter. For more on the legendary designer, tap the link in bio. #wwdfashion #alaia #azzedinealaia
