HONORING PETERS: Over 100 executives from the innerwear, textiles and retail industries turned out to honor Janet Peters at a gala cocktail party at The Water Club in Manhattan.

Peters, who is chief operating officer of H. Warshow & Sons, received the Al Jaffin Award from the Intimate Apparel Square Club for her community service and contributions to the fashion apparel industry.
Before the award presentation, the organization hosted a Christmas-in-July party for terminally ill children at Rusk Institute at New York University Medical Center. The party featured Christmas music, clowns, a makeup artist, Happy Meals from McDonalds and Santa Claus.
NILIT DOES UNIFI: Nilit Ltd., the Israel-based fiber producer, co-hosted a cocktail party at The Tonic in New York City with U.S. texturer Unifi Inc.
The event, which pulled in over 75 intimate apparel and textile executives, was staged to show off Nilit’s latest innovations in Sensil yarns in an informal fashion show. It also served as a getting-acquainted party for exhibitors at The Yarn Fair.
CHANGING PLANETS: Planet Lingerie will be moving its showroom and office to a new location, but it won’t be a long distance move. The junior daywear and underwear maker will continue to be located at 183 Madison Avenue in Manhattan, but will move up to suite 901 today. The firm was formerly located in suite 718.”
