Izcoa had served as assistant vice president of product development and quality assurance for four years. Izcoa has “extensive experience” in the areas of product manufacturing, quality assurance and production management and design, said Tom Ward, president and chief executive officer of Maidenform.
“If there is something new, we want to be the first to market the new product or new idea,” Ward said. “With Alba’s background and knowledge, I believe she is the right person to head up this initiative at Maidenform.”
Ward added that the new post will add “increased attention” to new technology, new product concepts and new sewing techniques, and will enhance partnerships with fabric and trim suppliers, as well as new product contractors and technology inventors.
