NEW YORK — Izod is moving into the accessories arena. On Friday, Kellwood revealed to WWD that it has signed a deal with Izod’s parent, Phillips-Van Heusen, to produce a range of accessories under the Izod name.

The products will include handbags, hats, belts and personal accessories such as small leather goods and scarves. Products will be introduced to the market in spring, in time for fall retailing. Details of the collection, including the design direction and pricing, are still being developed, a Kellwood spokeswoman said.

Kellwood, which had sales of $1.22 billion in the six months ended Aug. 2, just started making moderate-priced women’s apparel under the Izod name. The first women’s sportswear line will debut at May Co. stores starting in November.
