Mercibeaucoup's Spring 2009 collection was a whirlwind of over-the-top pieces and eye-popping combinations adorned with all manner of pom pom, tassel and fringe. "She's got this incredible instinct—without trying to know what the Japanese youth want." A peach frock with a plaid insert bearing the image of a tiger, over aqua leggings, yellow socks and red peep toed shoes—that's a lot to take in—and it was only the first look to grace the runway. The cartoonish kookiness followed with oversized madras trousers, a punchy turquoise frock over bubblegum striped tights, a floor-length dress in bold stripes of yellow, blue and grey.

"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
