Jeffrey Chow, creative director at Poleci, is the honored designer judge at today’s “Stretch to the Future” design competition, sponsored by RadiciSpandex Corp. at The Fashion School of Kent State University. Students compete in eveningwear, swimwear, lingerie and activewear categories, using fabrics donated by mills that use RadiciSpandex’s RadElast stretch fiber. The contest originated in 1999 at the High School of Fashion Industries in Manhattan and has been held with Kent State for the past four years. Judging will take place at Kent State’s midtown design studios in New York. Past designer judges have included Betsey Johnson, Carmen Marc Valvo, Marc Bouwer, Stan Herman, Nicole Miller, Nanette Lepore and John Varvatos, among others.
